In combination with the appropriate glass, spacer and threshold, the system can achieve a total door heat transfer coefficient Ud < 1.6 W/m2K. Breaking the thermal bridge is achieved using polythermide (PT) clamps, which allow surface treatment before installation in the profile, or polyamide (PA), which allow surface treatment after installation in the profile. The system is compatible and enables installation in the Schüco FW50+ and FW60+ facade systems.
The heat transfer coefficient Uf (only profile, without glass) is calculated, and the average value is 2.31 W/m2K. By using appropriate glass, e.g. Low E with Ug=1.1 W/m2K, or fillings with similar or better characteristics, achievable values of the total heat transfer coefficient can reach Uw= < 1.6 W/m2K. The results are confirmed by appropriate tests, and the result directly depends on the size of the field and the percentage of glass and filling. The sealing between the leaf and the door frame is done using two EPDM seals. The glass is fixed in the sash/stem using an internal slat with a holder, and sealed with EPDM gaskets on both sides. In the case of infill installation, it is possible to use a 3 mm shallower sash, in order to stick the appropriate covering material over the entire surface of the sash, all in the plane of the stud.
Thresholds can be: - shallow, with a brush or rubber seal - automatic anti-smoke
The door can be made in a version with protection against finger injuries. For cases of special static requirements, there is a statically reinforced profile.

The Schüco FWS 50 facade system is an impressive basic facade system with a high level of flexibility and attractive design possibilities, including optimized manufacturing and installation processes. Thanks to the wide range of systems, solutions can be implemented for the most diverse requirements and applications.
Construction: Self-supporting, fully glazed, thermally insulated construction made of aluminum profiles. The system combines the production of facades, glazed roofs, and conservatories (variant FW50+ WI). Profile geometry: Visible profile width 50mm. Vertical, bearing, profiles ("III plane"), are depth: 50, 65, 85, 105, 125, 150, 175, 200mm. Vertical supporting profiles for angles from 10 to 45 degrees, depth: 85, 105, 125, 150, 175, 200mm. Horizontal profiles ("I plane"), depth: 6, 21, 27, 45, 55, 70, 90, 110, 130, 155, 180mm. Horizontal profiles ("II plane"), depths: 84, 104, 124, 149mm. Pressure and cover profiles of various shapes: rectangular, rounded, elliptical, etc. Static reinforcement profiles are provided for vertical profiles: 85, 105, 125, 150, 175 and 200 mm.
The horizontal and vertical profiles are "multi-chambered" and can drain the structure in three planes, which is achieved by overlapping the profiles. At the contact of the horizontal and vertical supports, insert dilatation sponge rubbers, no narrower than 3 mm, which will ensure smooth dilatations. profile due to temperature changes, and do not cross their visual limit. You can also use a PVC cuff that partially extends beyond the visual limit of the horizontal profile. The coupling at this point is such that it prevents possible torsion of the chord. profile due to the weight of the glass. Attachment for vert. make the profile with stainless screws on the front side (screws used for connecting the elements - internally, are made of stainless steel class A2). All screws for external application must be stainless steel class A4. By the way, connectors exist for different types of mounting as well as different loads that must be transferred to the basic supporting structure.
On the extensions vert. of supporting profiles, install PVC channels that ensure water tightness in the interior of the profile. At the joint, filled with Schüco Diht+ and Schüco Flex 2 sealing compounds. This element also allows the smooth expansion of the axially free profile in the joint. Drain the water from the primary channels with PVC elements in the zone between the glasses through a vulcanized element at the bottom of which there is an opening for water drainage. Install this part every 8 m or 8 grids at most. At the top of the profile, place an EPDM cap that prevents soiling and possible clogging of the primary drainage, i.e. it can lead to a capillary effect, which prevents the smooth flow of water.
Insert polythermide thermal insulators into the tops of the vertical and horizontal supports. Segmented facade panels up to 10 degrees of deflection on one side and 10 on the other side of the supporting profiles can only be solved with a universal gasket for corners that is installed in the vertical channels of the supporting structure. If the angle is up to 15 degrees on one and the other side, the construction is the same, but the cover and pressure profile must be taken from the FW 60+ system, since there is a slight separation of the glass, so it is necessary to press the glass with a wider profile.
For larger turning angles, vertical supporting profiles with weakened channels on which the gaskets rest are used. For the area of corners up to 10 degrees, special cover and pressure profiles are used for the exact turning angle. The internal seals on which the glass rests differ in width by 6 mm, as the horizontal seals are "shallow". Seals can also be used on horizontals that visually have the same width as on vertical profiles, which is achieved with a "false feather" that equalizes the visual discontinuity that is a consequence of overlapping horizontals and verticals for the purpose of drainage of the structure. For roof structures, in the lower zone, a seal with a channel for collecting internal condensate is provided.
At the points of penetration of these channels through the vertical seal, there are half-permeable valves to prevent the penetration of cold air into the inner zone of the corners on the glass, and the collected condensate to exit into the primary drainage channels.
Glazing of vertical facades can be done in three ways: with a two-part seal on the pressure profile and butyl tape, two-part seal on the pressure profile, without butyl tape but with vulcanized "crosses" at the junction of the horizontal and vertical, with a one-piece seal on the pressure profile, without butyl tape but with vulcanized "crosses" at the junction of horizontal and vertical inclined constructions
Glazing of sloping roof structures is done with a two-part seal on the pressure profile and butyl tapes for additional sealing security. The recommended minimum angle of inclination of the roof due to optimal water drainage is 7 degrees. Covering caps are of different shapes and dimensions with a visible width of 50 mm. A rectangular "cap" made of stainless steel can also be used. The construction of the cap can be such that it is both pressure and covering, in which case the tightening screw is visible from the outside. On sloping roof constructions, these profiles are angled so that water can flow down the roof more easily. The distance between the vertical and horizontal "caps" of 7 mm helps drainage and prevents water retention and soiling of the glass in the area above the choir. cover caps.

System description
The structural facade Schüco FWS 50+ SG.SI is a self-supporting, fully glazed and thermally insulated facade construction. The appearance of structural glazing in the plane is achieved with profiles that are visible only from the inside of the room. From the outside, only the glass that is glued to the intermediate profile (distancer) is visible, without the aluminum caps. Profile geometry: Visible profile width 50mm. Vertical, supporting, profiles ("3rd plane"), are the depth: 50, 65, 85, 105, 125, 150, 175, 200 mm. Vertical supporting profiles for angles from 10 to 45 degrees, depth: 85, 105, 125, 150, 175, 200 mm. Horizontal profiles ("1st plane"), depth: 6, 21, 27, 45, 55, 70, 90, 110, 130, 155, 180 mm. Horizontal profiles ("2nd plane"), depths: 84, 104, 124, 149 mm.
The horizontal and vertical profiles are "multi-chambered" and can drain the structure in three planes, which is achieved by overlapping the profiles. The structural impression is achieved with structural IZO glass, with an inner glass of 6 or 8 mm, an intermediate profile of 20 mm and an outer one of 6 or 8 mm. The outer glass must be hardened and ground around the perimeter. The outer and inner glass is glued to a special intermediate profile (distancer), 20 mm wide. This profile is anodized in dark bronze, surfaces specially prepared for structural bonding of glass. Gluing is done in an authorized glass company by DOW CORNING (silicone DC 993) or Wacker Cemie (SG 500). The IZO glass formed in this way is attached directly to the aluminum supporting floor structure by means of brackets for attachment in one plane and brackets of variable geometry for the segmented part of the facade. In this way, the visible width of the structure from the inside of 50mm is achieved both on the segmented and on the flat part of the facade (without any frames except on the opening segments in the field of view). Aluminum caps are not visible from the outside.
